Wire fraud: Wire fraud is the commission of a crime using interstate electronic communication, such as phones, the radio, the internet or email.
Both wire fraud and mail fraud can carry a 20 year prison sentence. If you are charged with defrauding a federal agency or financial institution, you can be sentenced to 30 years in prison.
