Susan Corrado practices primarily in the areas of criminal and complex criminal law. Prior to becoming an associate with Boyle, Autry & Murphy, Ms. Corrado worked as a private investigator focusing on internal corporate investigations as well as a criminal investigator for defense lawyers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Ms. Corrado was a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Special Agent assigned to the prestigious White Collar Crime Unit. Prior to becoming an FBI Agent, she was a practicing civil attorney. Ms. Corrado has a private investigator and law license in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her unique blend of legal experience and investigative experience leaves her well suited to represent individuals who find themselves charged with crimes.
While with the FBI, she was the lead agent on a variety of high profile investigations involving corruption by public officials. Through the course of these investigations, Ms. Corrado has conducted interviews, analyzed financial records, and assisted in computer forensic examinations. As a result of proving her capabilities and attention to detail as an investigator, she was appointed to the FBI's Evidence Response Team, an elite team of agents trained and certified in the science of evidence recognition, collection, processing and preservation. Specifically, Ms. Corrado was assigned to the recovery operation following the tragic crash of Egypt Air Flight 990 on October 31, 1999. Ms. Corrado was also certified by the FBI as a forensic photographer.
Since 2002, Ms Corrado has been providing private investigations, primarily in the form of litigation support, to law firms and in-house counsel. Her services include investigations to assess claims and allegations made by parties to a lawsuit, witness interviews and special internal investigations (fraud, theft, threats and other employee/corporate misconduct). She has appeared in court as a witness, an investigator and an attorney.
Ms. Corrado also provides photographic, video and surveillance services when necessary.
Ms. Corrado received her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Scranton. She has served as an adjunct professor at New York University, teaching the legal elements of fraud to students wishing to become Certified Fraud Examiners.
